What's New on 6 Sep 2007


Apple Juicing Day is planned for 14th October 2007 at 2pm in the Orchard. Bring food for a barbeque (it will be nice weather) and drink to keep out the cold. Apple presses will be available to press your apples.

Downley Community Orchard was set up in 2003 by Kristina Frydberg supported by a group of local families who each planted a fruit tree in a corner of Mannings field next to the Parish Council allotments.

Apart from the routine activities of mowing the grass, pruning trees and general maintenance, there is an annual apple juicing day held in October to which all are invited.
